- Antoine
Gervais is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame, a
fellow of the Helen
Kellogg Institute for International Studies and a
special sworn status consultant for the U.S. Census Bureau. Gervais'
main research
interests
are international trade and economic growth. In recent papers, he
analyses
the link between firm productivity, product quality, and export
decisions using
U.S. Census data on manufacturing establishments. His current work
focuses on trade in services and the role of product differentiation in
explaining
bilateral trade flows. Prior to joining Notre Dame in 2010, Gervais was
a research analyst at the Peterson
Institute for International Economics.
Gervais holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland College
Park, an M.A. in economics from the University of Toronto and a B.A.
from UQAM.
