Welcome to the Rights Group page.

We are a group of students interested in putting out information about your rights as U.S. citizens and the U.S. government's right to protect you in these tumultuous times. We are interested in joining the debate on this specific, yet hard to grasp, topic by putting out information concerning the debate. We are not interested in changing your mind; we only want to get the information out, so that you, the reader, the virtual citizen, can make an informed decision.

We realize that this topic, rights, is tenuous and broad. For this reason, we have limited our debate to the rights of U.S. citizens and to the debate currently underway within this country. This does not limit our digital circulation to American citizens - we welcome and ask for input from diverse sources - but this analysis seems to us an appropriate starting place for a discussion about rights in general.

If you are interested, we also provide links to other WebPages so that the avid surfer can read on. We encourage anyone interested in this debate to explore other WebPages, yet we would not be responsible scholars if we did not include the following disclaimer: The rights group is in no way responsible for the contents of these pages. We are simply providing links to other pages who are presenting other views on the topic, both in favor and against government intervention.

The information we provide in our page gives further information regarding the current status of your rights in the U.S., specifically regarding the 1st and 4th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution and the corporate invasions to privacy that are occurring. We have also provided a link to the new Patriot Act II laws currently under consideration. If you are interested, we have a digital newsletter where we have interviewed several scholars and artists. Read their opinions and see the results of the random surveys we have conducted. Finally, we have published our own opinion in this debate in the section titled "Government's right to protect you versus your rights."

Happy surfing and thank you for visiting our page!
