One of the guidelines for providing a tutorial service to
student-athletes is that this service should be conducted in a
supervised environment. To assist in maintaining a productive
environment in the study center, the Office of Academic Services for
Student-Athletes employs several student monitors during the evening
hours of operation. In addition to keeping the study center running
smoothly, the monitor is responsible for signing student-athletes and
their tutors in and out of the study center, managing the assignment
of tutoring groups to available spaces, assisting tutors in completing
their tutoring reports, and addressing any problems as they arise.
Upper-class undergraduate students and graduate students are eligible
to be monitors.
If you are interested in learning more about the opportunity to work as
a monitor, contact the Tutor Coordinator, Amanda Hall at
