The regular seven week session begins Monday, June 18 and ends Friday, August 3 (final exams/last class day). A few courses begin and end outside the parameters of the "regular session." Check the summer bulletin for dates in class search.
To be officially enrolled for Summer Session classes, all students must complete the ND Roll Call
(enrollment) process through insideND by clicking on the "Student Academic" tab. Then within the
"Student Academic Services" channel, click on ND Roll Call.
Student-Athletes planning to attend summer school (either here at Notre Dame or at an International site) should meet with their Advisor in Academic Services. Student-Athletes who recieve an athletic grant-in-aid must discuss any summer school plans with their coach. If grant-in-aid
assistance is approved for the summer, NCAA rules mandate that a Student-Athlete may receive
grant-in-aid to cover summer costs only at the same percentage as the Student-Athlete's grant-in-aid
during the previous academic year.
Undergraduate Tuition - $877 / credit hour
Graduate Tuition - $462 / credit hour
Begins March 21 through insideND. The maximum number of credit hours that may be taken
during the summer session is eight. No PIN number is needed to register for summer classes.
If you receive an athletic scholarship - full or partial - and are NOT a senior or a 5th year
Student-Athlete, you are required to live on campus. To sign up for campus housing, please go to
the ResLife website.
Before classes begin, Student-Athletes receiving books as a portion of their summer athletic
grant-in-aid should go to the bookstore and pick up their books. Go to the second floor with your
student ID and someone should be able to assist you.
For missing books, dropped courses, and added courses, the Student-Athlete must also complete a
form given to them by their academic counselor in Academic Services.
For Student-Athletes who receive full athletic grant-in-aid, please see your counselor in Academic
Services the first day of classes.
If you intend to purchase a meal plan, there are four options. Your option can be changed during the summer session by going to South Dining Hall, north entrance, lower level. The options are available as follows:
Up to 21 meals / week with 3 meals per day - $160 / week
Up to 14 meals / week in any combination - $137.25 / week
Up to 10 meals / week in any combination - $110 / week
Up to 5 meals / week in any combination - $57.75 / week
All financial accounts for the summer session must be paid at the time of enrollment before beginning classes. Student-Athletes receiving partial athletic grant-in-aid will receive a billing statement after registering for classes. Athletic funds will not be reflected on their account until the July billing statement. This should be communicated to their parents.
Loans are available to assist students with their Summer Session financial needs. Information regarding these loan programs, including online applications, are available here.
If you are interested in working at the University this summer, you can apply here. ResLife will also be hiring summer help for resident halls. Information and applications are available here.
