WHAT IS THIS 'FROG-O' THING, EXACTLY?

Frog-O is Badin’s affectionate nickname for “Frosh-O,” otherwise known as First-Year Orientation (FYO). Did we confuse you with all those names yet?

FYO consists of University-sponsored activities put on for freshmen and their families during move-in weekend. Most dorms call this weekend “Frosh-O,” but we like to work our mascot into everything possible!

Frog-O encompasses all of the Badin activities our new tadpoles will be attending that weekend. It includes the typical get-to-know-you icebreakers, some silly games and activities, and traditional events such as South Quad Cup and the Badin Picnic. Basically, we keep you pretty busy that first weekend getting to know your classmates both in Badin and in other dorms (we collaborate several events with both men and women’s residence halls). The point is to have fun and become part of the Notre Dame family from the very first moment you arrive on campus! Take a look at the 2014 FROG-O SCHEDULE for an idea of what you're in for.

It’s a testament to the success of Frog-O that the application process to be on the staff is incredibly competitive. Your Frog-O staff is the cream of the crop!
