The University of Notre Dame Rare Books collection contains many unusual documents--novels, newspapers, memoirs, and iconography--detailing the dramatic events of the French Revolution. Highlights include a rare first edition of Regnault-Warin's controversial novel, Le Cimetière de la Madeleine (1800-01) and its sequel, Les Prisonniers du Temple (1801-02), the multi-volume Actes des Apôtres and iconographical treasures of Les Tableaux historiques de la Révolution française. Students and scholars are welcome to use these books at any time; funding may be available for visiting professors on request. Consult Professor Julia Douthwaite for more research support for visitors. A bibliography may be found here as Word or PDF.
