Dr. Go's directs the Small Scale Transport Research Laboratory in the Fitzpatrick Hall of Engineering and conducts energy efficiency research as part of the University of Notre Dame's Green Cloud initiative.
In the SST Lab, we focus on thermal and fluid sciences, with a specific interests in plasma science, aerosolization and atomization, and heat transfer. We have applied our research across a wide spectrum of areas, ranging from using plasmas for flow generation (electrohydroydnamics) to using new atomization techniques for chemical analysis (mass spectrometry). Our research is highly interdisciplinary bridging fields from mechanical and chemical engineering to analytical chemistry and applied physics. Dr. Go actively engages collaborators across different disciplines and has advised or co-advised students from aerospace and mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and chemistry.
Dr. Go is a part of both the Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics and Center for Nano Science and Technology research initiatives at Notre Dame.
