GRADUATE STUDENTS
JENNY VAYDICH
Jenny joined the Moral Psychology lab in the spring of 2005 as a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Program. She earned her BA in psychology at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, and an MA in Counseling Psychology at the University of Notre Dame. She has presented work related to child development and morality at the Society for Research on Adolescence, the Jean Piaget Society, the Association for Moral Education, and the American Educational Research Association. Drawing upon a developmental psychopathology framework, Jenny is interested in the consequences of adaptive and maladaptive emotion regulation for intra- and interpersonal functioning. Her research concentrates on the development of emotion regulation and emotion socialization, focusing on the parent-child relationship as a mechanism of emotion socialization. She is interested in exploring the ways in which both adaptive and maladaptive emotion regulation skills are developed and impacted by the parent-child relationship and early experiences.
