Junior Women's Epee Team Finals





The Gold Medal bout begins with the testing of bell guards. Representing France were Jeanne Colignon, Sarah Daninthe, Audrey Descouts and Mari-Maud Moulin. Russia was represented by Junior Silver Medalist Tatiana Logounova, Cadet Silver Medalist Ekaterina Chouroupina, Lioubov Choutova, and Anna Sivkova.






The Russians jumped out to a quick two touch lead at the start of the second period. Here French anchor Daninthe tests weapons with Chouroupina.






Daninthe turned things around for the French, giving them the lead at the start of the third period.






After Choutova put them back in the lead, the Russians substituted in Sivkova in the fourth period. She extended the lead, which was never relinquished.






The final period began with Silver Medalist Logounova enjoying a commanding lead over Daninthe of France. While Daninthe would make up some ground, the Russians emerged with a 45-33 victory.






The presentation of the medals for the Junior Women's Epee Team event. The Bronze Medal was awarded to Poland, represented by Malgorzata Bereza, Olga Cygan, Magdalena Kumiet, and Monika Lampkowska.






The Russian National Anthem is played for the second and last time at the tournament.
