Getting Here
- The conference will be held at the University of Notre Dame. Registration will be held at McKenna Hall, whereas all technical sessions will be in DeBartolo Hall, located across the quad from McKenna Hall. View the interactive campus map for more details.
- For those driving daily to the conference from off-site hotels, please park in the visitors lot. The lot is southeast of McKenna Hall (Conference Center). Click here for annotated map (indicated by red arrow).
- Travel Options: The campus of the University of Notre Dame (Notre Dame, IN 46556) is located near the center of the city of South Bend, IN and is easily accessible by various modes of transportation. South Bend, IN is less than 90 miles away from Chicago’s Midway (MDW) and O’Hare International (ORD) Airports. The campus is 5 miles away from the South Bend Regional Airport (SBN), which is serviced by major air carriers such as United and Delta. Taxi rides from the airport to the University take about 10-15 minutes. Amtrak trains also service a station in downtown South Bend, IN. Travelers can reach South Bend from O'Hare International Airport by regional jet or by Coach USA, which offers bus service to the Notre Dame campus every two hours (Visit the Coach USA website for schedule and fare information). Additionally, the Northern Indiana Commuter Rail provides service from downtown Chicago to the South Bend Regional Airport. Visit the NICTD website for schedules and fare information. Travel time by bus or train is approximately 2.5 Hours. Please note that Chicago is on Central Standard Time (CST) and South Bend/Notre Dame is on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Local Accommodations
The area close to Notre Dame offers a range of quality, inexpensive accommodations, all within walking distance to the conference venue. Note that campus shuttles will be also available for the guests that will choose to stay in the Inn as Saint Mary’s, the Hilton Garden Inn and Staybridge Suites. Hotel Rooms are being held the nights of June 17, 18, and 19 at the following locations. Note that all hotels will honor the conference rate (listed below and not including tax) for the days preceding and following the conference. The block of rooms will be released 30 days prior to the conference, so please register by May 17, 2012. Note that if you have any special accommodation needs, please use the telephone option for making your reservation and communicate these needs to the hotel staff at that time. Those staying in the residence halls and arriving in the late evenings should contact Becky Badger at 574-631-4810 or rwaltz1@nd.edu prior to arrival to make arrangements for afterhours check-in.

Two residence halls will be used for the conference: McGlinn Hall and Duncan Hall. (Click here for map). Those registering for residence hall accomodations should have received an email with their dorm assignment. If not, please report directly to McGlinn Hall.
Description: Air-conditioned residence halls on campus, less than 5 minutes walk from the conference venue, will be available at a nightly single rate of $50 or double rate of $38 per person. Please be sure to include your roommate's name when choosing a double. Blankets, sheets and towels are provided during your stay. Lavatories and showers are private stalls shared in a common area, with separate men's and women's facilities on each floor. There is no provision for more than two persons per room; however, requests for adjoining rooms will be honored when possible. While breakfast is not included, breakfast is served at the South Dining Hall daily. Tickets may be purchased at the dining hall entrance. Reservations for residence halls can be completed during the conference registration process.
