Every department in the College of Engineering offers Ph.D. and master’s degrees. As a graduate student in the College of Engineering, you are expected to contribute to the mission of your home department, which may involve conducting laboratories, grading homework/exams, developing new learning activities in concert with a faculty member. You are also expected to participate in the high-level research activities within the college, as well as prepare and present a dissertation. This is all outlined in the Graduate School Bulletin of Information. Most important, graduate programs in engineering — and the opportunities available here — are geared for your success. Working with your faculty adviser, you will be able to structure your academic program and research opportunities so that they meet formal University requirements as well as your own career goals.
