Gale C. Andrews, V.P. Office of Ethics & Business Conduct, Boeing Company
Lecture title: Ethics at Boeing

Gale Andrews is vice president of Ethics and Business Conduct for the Boeing Company and reports to the Office of the Chairman. He assumed this position in May 2000. Andrews is responsible for ethics, integrity and self-governance programs throughout the company.

Prior to his current position, Andrews was vice president and general auditor for Boeing. Before joining Boeing in 1978, Andrews served for three years as a communications specialist with the White House Support Staff during the Nixon and Ford administrations. Upon returning to Seattle, he became owner and operator of a two-store bicycle enterprise for two years before coming to Boeing as a systems analyst for Boeing Marine Systems.

In 1983, Andrews was promoted to Customer Support Spares manager for the Boeing Jetfoil program. Three years later he transferred to Internal Audit and gained experience as an audit project manager for the Management Control Systems Audit Group (MCSA), chief auditor for the Military Aircraft and Missiles Rotocraft Division, and functional specialist group manager for Company Offices Internal Audit.

Andrews’ undergraduate work was in political science at Loyola University of New Orleans and the University of Washington. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington. He also attended the University Executive Program at Carnegie Mellon University. Andrews was born May 7, 1949, in Seattle and grew up in New Orleans.
