Qiang Yu (qyu@nd.edu) - Ph.D. student

Current projects:

  1. 1)Develop a method for determining the concentrations and stability constants of sulfhydryl sites within various bacterial cell envelopes.

  2. 2)Investigate and quantify the dependence of metal adsorption/desorption behaviors onto bacteria under different metal loading conditions.

  3. 3)Characterize the sulfhydryl sites of extracellular polymer substances (EPS) and to elucidate their role in metal adsorption onto biofilm.
