Description of Position

Students working on the ticket office staff are responsible for selling tickets for performances and events in all of our venues, the collection of patron data, selling cinema concessions, and working the merchandise table.  As the first contact for most patrons, ticket office staff must be personable, professional, and efficient in their dealings with patrons to provide excellent customer service. Additional responsibilities include organization of ticket office area, will call distribution, aiding the ticket office managers in reporting and working closely with the House Manager and staff to improve the quality of service for all patrons. Nights and weekends are absolutely required of all staff in addition to regular office hours, which are noon to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills, friendly, and energetic. Fairly adept at using a computer, and willing to learn our ticketing system.  Prior money handling and point of sale experience preferred but not required. Must be able to work during normal ticket office hours 12:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, weekday evenings from 6:00p.m. to 11:00p.m., and weekends from 10:00a.m. to 1:00a.m..  Applicants must be available for orientation weekend during the Fall Semester, as well as senior week and commencement during the Spring Semester.  Availability during Fall and Spring breaks is highly preferred.
