Athletics

Notre Dame sports:

It’s hard to avoid Notre Dame football, but ND fields many other teams that are just as successful (or even more so!) and fun to watch, and will put much less of a dent in your pocketbook. Students and spouses get in free to sports like men’s and women’s soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, hockey, baseball, softball, and women’s basketball. Bleacher seats for men’s basketball will run you about $8. (schedules)

South Bend Silverhawks:

South Bend’s own minor-league baseball team, an Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate, plays home games at Coveleski stadium downtown from April through mid-September. Reserved tickets $5, except on Dollar Mondays ($1).

Recsports

Notre Dame RecSports provides facilities, classes, and equipment for your fitness needs.

The Theology department often fields intramural teams in soccer, ultimate, basketball and softball.
