Costs and Fees
Costs
and fees for international study programs fall into two main categories
as explained below:
- Notre Dame Programs: Innsbruck, Fremantle, Angers, Paris, Dublin,
Jerusalem, Nagoya, Monterrey, Perth, Puebla, Rome, Toledo, and London.
The cost
is equivalent to average on-campus room, board and tuition charges.
This fee covers tuition, room and board, field trips and round trip
travel between the appropriate United States coast and the international
study site. Personal travel while abroad, food during vacation periods,
books, insurance, personal needs and incidentals, as at Notre Dame,
are the responsibility of the individual.
- Facilitated programs: Athens, Beijing, Berlin, Bologna, Cairo, Rio de Janiero, Salvador da Bahia, Santiago, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, and Tokyo.
An application fee ranging between $30 - $35 is required for the Athens, Beijing, Slavador da Bahia, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, and Tokyo Programs.
The cost of participating in any of these programs varies by program,
and is available in the ISP office. The amount charged includes a combination
of some of the following: tuition, housing, meals, orientation, cultural
activities, local excursions and field trips. In addition to program
fees, all students participating in a facilitated program will be charged a $1000 Notre Dame administrative fee
to defray expenses incurred in facilitating the program. Estimated additional
personal expenses on-site depend on the individual and the program.
Airfare is not included in any of the facilitated program fees.
Most scholarships and loans continue as on campus, but students expecting
financial aid must meet the application deadlines and requirements of
the Financial Aid Office. Work-study is not available at study abroad
program sites.
Please take a look at the Scholarships page for information on available scholarships.
