Graduate Directory--Keelin Burke
Keelin Burke is in her second year working towards a PhD in Modern Irish History, with a minor in Gender Studies. She has an M.A. from the University of Colorado at Denver, and her thesis was on Ulster, Unionism, and ideas of national identity before 1914. She is interested in nineteenth and twentieth century Irish history, particularly gender, social, and cultural history. This past summer she was very pleased to spend a month studying Irish language in An Cheathrú Rua, Galway, thanks to a grant from the Keough-Naughton Institute of Irish Studies.
