|News and Updates||The Joint Engineering Council of Notre Dame|
|Our executive board leaves for Oklahoma State for the National Association of Engineering Student Councils national conference in just two weeks. We hope to find innovative ways to make this council the best it can be so that it may better serve you!
The Joint Engineering Council of the University of Notre Dame (JECND) acts as the umbrella organization for all of the professional and honor societies at the University of Notre Dame. Here are a few of the functions we serve for the Notre Dame Community:
We are one of the student councils recognized and organized annually by the National Association of Engineering Student Councils (NAESC).
The council serves to represent the student body in the College of Engineering by working with the Deans and Department Heads as liaisons. We work on several initiatives to promote diversity, service, and an inclusive environment. It acts as a forum for interdisciplinary deliberation for students where none previously existed.
The JEC strives to encourage its student body professionally with events such as Engineering Industry Day in the fall and through several sponsorships throughout the year.
We also host several social events to encourage a welcoming and unified community within the College with events such as National Engineering Week.
