Korean Student Association of the University of Notre Dame was founded approximately 20 years ago. A definite year of establishment is hard to measure because it was started off as a small gathering of Korean students. However, in 1991, the Korean Student Association was officially recognized as a cultural club by the University. The main activities of KSA during the past 15 years or so was to solely provide comfort and support to those Koreans who were away from home and to build a small Korean community within Notre Dame. However, KSA has shifted its focus into creating Korean awareness within and around the entire University. We have conducted activities that reach out to the community and put our emphasis on spreading the culture and spirit of Korea. Everyone at Notre Dame is Fighting Irish, but through our effots we would like to influence them to also become Fighting Korea!
