PowerPoint and SlideShare
Use PowerPoint to create, organize, present, and update presentations with text, media, and web links. Use SlideShare to share and present PowerPoint presentations on a web page or integrate them into Sakai.
Use in teaching & learning
When used well, PowerPoint is a very effective tool. Unfortunately, many people use PowerPoint poorly. Mix PowerPoint with other strategies. Use images to help pose a thorny question or explain visual relationships. Link to other programs, as well as web sites. Clear a slide after discussing it, blank the screen during long pauses, plan on two minutes per slide, and limit the use of animation and sound effects. See also: Teaching Well with Powerpoint.
