YouTube
This is a free website where users can upload, view and share video clips. YouTube contains a wealth of content, perhaps 150 million clips. Many organizations use YouTube as an official means of disseminating video. You can share links to videos, or they can be embedded into a page in Sakai or on a website. There are other video sharing services with similar capabilities.
Use in teaching & learning
Many instructors have begun to incorporate YouTube videos into their class materials. For example, Notre Dame's Darwin project website features a list of informative videos. Educators also use YouTube to publish short tutorials and student projects.
