Welcome to the homepage for the Multidisciplinary Engineering Design Laboratory in the College of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. This is Notre Dame's EXPLOSIVE new design course aimed at giving students of all engineering displines the opportunity to work together on a large design project. In these pages you will find information about this revolutionary new course (EG498A).

Course Goals

  • Learn the principles of systems design through an interdisciplinary group design project
  • Develop projects/experiments for possible use in an ND freshman engineering course
  • Work with faculty and students from other engineering departments
  • Have fun building engineering systems out of LEGO!
