So I know you all are super excited to decorate your room and get settled in but one thing I want you to remember is….you do NOT have unlimited space! Remember you will be sharing a room with another freshman and you have to make room for her and all her ideas too. Below is a longgggg list of supplies…you don’t need to bring EVERYTHING!!!! Bed Bath and Beyond has this really cool program where, just like bridal registry, you walk around your local store and scan everything you need/want, take the scanner back to the registrar and tell them you want your stuff at one of the local Bed Bath and Beyonds in either South Bend or Mishawaka, IN. (They just ask you what university you’re going to and they’ll tell you which store is the closest) Then when you get into town, go to your directed Bed Bath and Beyond store and they’ll have a box for you ready with all your stuff! Another good idea is to coordinate with your roommate what you’ll each bring. Depending on your room, you’ll probably only need one futon, TV, carpet, fridge, etc. This list is also only a suggestion of things you might need. If you forget something, most supplies can be found at the ND Bookstore or any of the local stores like Target. If there’s something you absolutely can’t live without, there’s always FedEx!
