Hello future Lyonites! My name is Jessica and I'm from a bittybitty
town in east Texas called Canton. I'm a Junior Psychology major & Irish
Language and Literature minor. Some of my interests are baking, helping out
with hair crises, and finding ways to keep myself and others from getting their
homework done :) This will be my 3rd year in Lyons and I can say with
confidence that it is the best. dorm. ever. (of all time, srsly.) There are
tons of things that make Lyons great - from our beautiful arch to our
amazing cleaning ladies, Cathy & Maggie! But my favorite thing about Lyons
has to be that the girls you'll be living with will be some of the friendliest,
most helpful people you'll meet at ND. I can't wait to meet you all and please PLEASE
contact any of us with any questions you may have, or if you just want to chat
about the amazing time you're about to have in Lyons and at Notre Dame!

I’m an Economics/Sociology double major from Akron, Ohio. I’m
a junior this year. I love swimming, golfing, bonfires, summer, and everything
Notre Dame. I will be studying abroad in Greece this spring, and I could not be
more excited. (Except maybe for football season this fall. I can’t wait!) What’s not to love about Lyons? It’s on South Quad, the best
location. The girls are friendly, welcoming, and amazing; I have made some of
my best friends in the world in Lyons. And, decked out in our black dresses, we
are easily the classiest girls’ dorm at the first football pep rally. A
definite plus J

I grew up in a small town by Madison, Wisconsin thought I was
going to be Badger my whole life. Turns out, plans change, and I decided
that Notre Dame seemed like a better fit for me. I couldn't have been
more right. It didn't take me long to start calling Notre Dame "home"
after experiencing the beautiful campus, the amazing people, and, most of all,
my lovely dorm. Lyons is small but mighty and we are more of a family of
girls than most other dorms on campus. I love how cozy Lyons is and how
our girls can get to know each other so quickly and comfortably. Although
Frosh-O weekend seems daunting and awkward at the outset, once it happens, you
can look back on how fun it was and how sometimes the people you meet then
become your best friends here. I can't wait to meet all of the Freshman
this August, and I hope that they kick off their four years here with some
awesome memories made during Frosh-O!

I love Lyons because we have such a close community. Our traditions and signature events are great to be a part of, and of course, we keep everything classy! The whole dorm has so much character, outside and inside. It is impossible to describe Lyons Hall in so few words, but when you arrive on campus you´ll find out how great it is to be from under the arch! |
