Professor Frank Germann is one of the two newest additions to Mendoza College of Business’ Marketing Department faculty. Professor Germann, who earned his MBA at Mendoza in 2005, joins the marketing department with extensive education and experience. He has studied at Pennsylvania State University, Reutlingen University in Germany, University of Savoy in France as well as at Carlo-Schmid Gymnasium in Germany. His work experience ranges from working at Ethicon Endo-Surgery in Switzerland as both a regional sales manager and product specialist to serving as a Process Development Engineer for Hewlett-Packard in Germany. This extensive international experience will surely enhance both his undergraduate Principles of Marketing course as well as his graduate level Marketing Management course.
Within the realm of marketing, Professor Germann focuses his research on Marketing Strategy. Specifically he studies returns on a firm’s marketing investments using marketing analytic tools. He has several working papers and research in progress on this topic.
While working on his MBA at Notre Dame Professor German connected with the University’s Catholic heritage and values as well as the school’s equal focus on research and education. These values brought him back to teach at the University. In addition, Professor Germann is looking forward to attending both football and soccer games this fall with his family.
