Garrett Updike

Garrett has been the unsung hero in a number of group settings. I’ve experienced this and heard the same from other people. His strength does not lie in the sense that he takes control of a group and corrals it into his direction.

Rather, he listens to the group, analyzes what each team member is saying, and suggests a course of action that helps everyone progress towards a common goal. His skill is especially apparent when group members get heated in the face of conflicting ideas. Garrett has been an example to me of what a good leader can be.
