Matthew Cain conducts research on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and financial contracting. Professor Cain teaches both undergraduate and MBA-level courses on mergers and acquisitions. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Purdue University, and prior to academia he spent several years as an analyst in private placements and loan syndications groups. He currently publishes research in finance, accounting, and law journals and provides consulting services on various aspects of M&A transaction-related litigation.
