Thank you for visiting the NatHaz(Natural Hazards) Modeling Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame.
The mission of this laboratory is to quantify the load effects caused by various natural hazards on structures
and to develop innovative strategies to mitigate and manage their effects. This facility is operated
in tandem with the Atmospheric Wind Tunnel at the the Hessert Center for Aerospace Research.
Other facilities available to the laboratory include high-bay structural testing laboratory for large-scale testing
and Dynamics and Sensors Laboratory.
The NatHaz Modeling Laboratory is associated with the Department of Civil Engineering and Geological Sciences
and is directed by Dr. Ahsan Kareem.
