Field Museum

Students will travel to Chicago for an overnight stay (all hotel and transportation costs will be covered by the Program).  On this trip, participants will tour the Field Museum’s Near Eastern collections.  Several members of the Anthropology faculty will discuss their research in archaeology, conservation, lithics, etc.

After this “insider’s tour” of the museum collections, students will be allowed to visit the exhibits of their choice throughout the museum.  This summer the Museum will be hosting a special exhibit titled:  Dinosaurs -  Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries.

Oriental Institute Museum @ the University of Chicago

Students will also visit the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago on this trip, to see the Near Eastern collections at the Institute.
