Snow cancels Belles game
Observer Staff Report

The Saint Mary's basketball team headed into Wednesday's match-up with Alma warmed up and ready to go.

Unfortunately for the Belles, Mother Nature wouldn't let them.

Due to the snowstorm that struck the South Bend area, the game between the Belles and Scots, originally scheduled for Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m., was postponed and rescheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Belles currently stand at 6-13 overall, and 2-6 in the MIAA, good enough to qualify the Belles for seventh place in the conference. The Scots stand at 10-9 overall and 3-6 in the MIAA, just one spot ahead of the Belles.

The next game for the Belles will be on Saturday, against Calvin College travel to South Bend for a 3 p.m. tip-off.

The Belles still face six conference games heading into their conference tournament.
