Terrorism prompts ND, SMC to close

      Terrorist acts today in New York and Washington led Notre Dame and Saint Mary's officials to cancel classes and all campus activities. Both schools declared Tuesday a day of prayer. A campus-wide Mass is scheduled on the University's South Quad at 3 p.m today. The College has scheduled a praryer service today at 4 p.m. in the Church of Loretto.
