      Through fluttering red, white and blue American flags, Lieutenant Commander Dan Walsh returned home after six months abroad. As the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier made its way down the St. James River, putting the Norfolk, Va. naval base in eyesight, the Notre Dame alumnus was greeted by waving flags and nearly 10,000 people welcoming him home.
