The RESOURCE CHART contains information for all 50 states about early voting, absentee voting, ballot due dates, and more.
The chart includes the deadlines for each state to:
- register to vote;
- apply for an absentee ballot;
- mail in an absentee ballot.
It provides information for each state on:
- Early voting
- period of time (occurring in most states during the fall semester break) when you can cast your ballot in your county clerk's office, or the equivalent position depending on the state.
- Absentee voting
- Request and receive a ballot in the mail and returnn it by the deadline. Some states are more difficult than others to apply absentee.
- If applying for an absentee ballot, mail the application at least a week after you register, unless the state allows you to send them both at the same time.
By clicking on your state, you will be able to:
- download all the forms you need to register;
- apply for an absentee ballot;
- get directions on the requirements and how to complete the forms.
