The Mendelson Center for Sport, Character & Culture

In pursuit of its mission, the Mendelson Center has established three goals:

• To advance scholarship by developing theory and conducting research examining the potential of sports to develop character'

• To further the application of knowledge by developing and offering educational resources, programs, and consultation to individuals and organizations interested in character development through sports'

• To increase the breadth and efficacy of character education through sports by developing academic, professional, and public partnerships that advance a national movement for constructive change in the culture of sports'
