Intake Appointments
Contacting UCC Who is Eligible for Services

The first step towards receiving counseling services from the UCC is usually to set up an appointment for an intake interview. You can do this by calling our receptionist at 631-7336 between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. They will provide you with an intake appointment, usually scheduled within the next 3-5 days. It's normal to feel nervous making this phone call - but our receptionists will put you right at ease.

When you first visit the UCC, plan to come 15 minutes early. Come to the Health Services Building, and walk up the stairs or take the elevator to the third floor and turn right - and check in with our receptionist at the reception area at the end of the hall. You will be given some short forms to read and complete on a private computer, which will let you know what to expect and will allow you to provide some information about yourself for your intake counselor. During the appointment your intake counselor will come to a better understanding of your concerns and how the UCC may be of most help to you. At the end of this first appointment, you and your intake counselor will select a plan which best meets your needs (e.g. , individual counseling, group therapy, one session only, or a referral to another office). After you leave your appointment, congratulate yourself for making this important step in your life!
