Rather the converse of the usual Scriptural figure, -- Matt. xxv, 6: Apoc. xix, 7: xxi, 2: besides the long passage in the same Epistle, Eph. v, 23-32. The perfect man of Eph. iv, 13, is explained by the contrast of babes in the next verse: cf. Heb. v, 13, 14, where the same contrast recurs.
