What is a Triple A officer?

The heart of AAA is relationships.

The AAA officer is the humble servant of his/her club members and, to a certain extent, all Asian American students on campus. He/she must know his peers on an intimate level, be empathetic to them, and totally invested in their health, well-being, & success.  In this sense, AAA is ministry.

Having the proper attitude means everything. So-called "hard" skills (e.g. website maintenance) can always be learned, but it is harder to learn HEART. It takes a very special person with a very big heart to be able to nurture spirit, foster community, and bring out the best in others.

The AAA officer must always maintain an understanding of current campus issues and dynamics if he/she hopes to affect change. This includes an awareness of the goings-on of residence halls, administrative offices, university services, academic departments, and alumni.

The officers are collectively responsible for all activities, even Asian Allure. They have the authority to give someone the privilege of being "producer" or "chairperson" of an event, but they are still ultimately responsible for what goes on. The officers should never expect to just hand things off because they are the care-takers of AAA in all aspects.
