[Triplum]
Veni sancte Spiritus
Et emitte celitus
Lucis tue radium.
Veni pater pauperum,
Veni dator munerum,
Veni lumen cordium.
Consolator optime,
Dulcis hospes anime,
Dulce refrigerium.
In labore requies,
In estu temperies,
In fletu solacium.
O lux beatissima,
Reple cordis intima
Tuorum fidelium.
Sine tuo numine,
Nihil est in lumine,
Nihil est innoxium.
Lava quod est sordidum,
Riga quod est aridum,
Sana quod est saucium.
Flecte quod est rigidum,
Fove quod est frigidum,
Rege quod est devium.
Da tuis fidelibus
In te confidentibus,
Sascrum septenarium.
Da virtutis meritum,
Da salutis exitum,
Da perhenne gaudium.
Amen.
[Motetus]
Veni sancte spiritus,
Et infunde precamus
Rorem celi gracie.
Precantibus humanitus
Salva nos divinitus
A serpentis facie.
In cuius presencia
Ex tua clementia
Tecta sint peccata.
Nostraque servicia
Corda penitencia
Tibi fac placata.
Languidorum consolator
Et lapsorum reformator,
Mortis medicina.
Peccatorum perdonator,
Esto noster expurgator,
Et duc ad divina.
[Contratenor]
Veni creator Spiritus,
Mentes tuorum visita:
Imple superna gracia
Que tu creasti pectora.
Qui paraclitus diceris,
Donum Dei altiissimi,
Fons vivus, ignis, caritas,
Et spiritalis unccio.
Tu septiformis munere
Dextre Dei tu digitus,
Tu rite promisso Patris,
Sermone ditans guttura.
Accende lumen sensibus,
Infunde amorem cordibus,
Infirma nostri corporis
Virtute firmans perpetim.
Hostem repellas longius,
Pacemque dones protinus:
Ductore sic te previo,
Vitemus omne noxium.
Per te sciamus, da Patrem
Noscamus atque Filium,
Te utriusque Spiritum
Credamus omni tempore.
[Tenor]
Mentes tuorum visita:
Imple superna gracia.

Come, Holy Spirit,
and, as a heaven-dweller, send
a ray of your light.
Come, father of the poor,
come, giver of rewards,
come, light of hearts.
Best consoler,
sweet friend of the soul,
sweet refresher.
In labor, rest,
in summer, coolness,
in grief, solace.
O most blessed light,
fill the depths of the hearts
of your faithful.
Without your will,
there is nothing graced with light,
there is nothing pure.
Wash what is soiled,
water what is arid,
heal what is wounded.
Bend what is rigid,
heat what is frigid,
straighten what is crooked.
Give to those who are faithful
to you and believe in you the
sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Give reward to the virtuous,
give an exit to the saved,
give eternal joy.
Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit,
and pour forth, we pray you,
the dew of heavenly grace.
As we pray humanly,
save us divinely
from the face of the serpent.
In whose presence,
by your mercy,
our sins may be covered.
And for our service
and penitence make
our hearts disposed to you.
Consoler of the sick,
reformer of the fallen,
remedy for death,
Pardoner of sins,
be our cleanser
And lead us to divine things.
Come, Creator Spirit,
visit the minds of your people,
fill with supernal grace
the hearts you have created.
You are called Paraclete,
gift of the highest God,
living fountain, fire, charity,
and spiritual unction.
You, seven-formed by the gift
of the right hand of God, you the finger,
you rightly by the promise of the Father
Enriching throats with speech,
Ignite a light for the senses,
pour love into our hearts,
strengthening the infirm parts of
our body with perpetual strength.
May you repel the enemy far off,
and may you grant peace straight away:
thus, with you as leader going before,
We may avoid every noxious thing.
[Since] through you we understand,
grant that we may know the Father
and the Son and may believe you
to be the Spirit of both forever.
Visit the minds of your people:
fill (them) with supernal grace.
