Vox in Rama audita est,
Ploratus et ululatus multus,
Rachel plorans filios suos,
Et noluit consolari,
quia non sunt.
    —Matthew 2: 18 (quoting Jeremiah 31: 15) 		A voice is heard in Rama,
weeping and loud lamentation:
Rachel weeping for her children;
and she cannot be consoled,
because they are no more.
