Homework Registration
To register for online homework, you may follow the directions given in the
Webassign Quick Start Guide
or follow the directions below.
- Go to this page: [link]
- Click on Enter a Class Key on the upper right of the page.
- Your instructor name is Andrew Putman and your Class key is
nd 7064 3766
- Follow the directions to either link to your existing account (if you have one), or click on the
Create Account link and create a new Cengage account. It is best to use your e-mail address as your username and to keep a record of your password.
- Click Continue To Webassign to sign in.
- You have about 10 days after Jan 17 to purchase an access code and enter it in the system before
it terminates your access (see below).
- You should purchase access to the online homework system and use the e-book that comes with it for reference.
Cengage unlimited allows access to all Cengage e-books and allows you keep 6 books in your digital locker for up to a year.
This will cost $119.99 (the 4 month subscription) for the semester. It is available through the bookstore or directly from Cengage: [link].
- If you are using Cengage unlimited in other courses, you do not need to purchase it again for this course.
- The homework for each class is available on the day of the class prior to the one in which the relevant material is scheduled to be covered and is due at 2am on the dates
from this page. I emphasize
that this is 2am in the morning, so effectively it is due at midnight the day before the deadline with a 2am grace period.
- You are allowed 5 submissions for each answer. You can submit question parts individually. When you wish to make a sumission, click Submit Answers.
The system will show a check mark or an x to indicate whether your answer is correct or not. If your answer is incorrect, you should explore the help buttons before you resubmit. You should preview your homework well ahead of the due date so that you have time to get help if you need to. After 5 submissions, you will not be allowed to change your answers. You do not need to complete your homework or a question in one sitting. You may click
Save Work
if you wish to return to your work later.
- In order to get acquainted with the system, please work through the ”entering answers in EWA” assignment before Friday Jan 20.
This assignment is not part of your grade, but you are expected to iron out any issues you have with the system by the end of week 1. Your three lowest homework grades will be dropped.
- A webpage prepared by one of the previous instructors with tips on entering the homework is here.
