Trigger Factor (TF)

• First bacterial chaperone to see nascent polypeptide

• Has PPIase activity, but recognizes hydrophobic residues

• Function overlaps with DnaJ/DnaK chaperones

• N-terminal domain mediates binding to 50S subunit of ribosome
