Let me briefly introduce myself:
I grew up in Shanghai, one of the most populated cities in the world, and got my Ph. D at University of Minnesota. I am proud of my 17 years of teaching experience at Notre Dame, and am ready to work with you this semester.

Here is my promise: you do not have to wait until office hours to see me, if you see me in my office, you can stop by and ask questions.
Although you do not have to make an appointment to see me, I still recommend that you do if you want to see me, so that I know you are coming. I have other duties and may not always be in my office.
