Story Name: Nuclear Power

Abstract: Data were collected on 32 light water nuclear power plants. For each of
these plants, the cost, date of construction permit and net capacity (in
MegaWatts) are recorded.

You are to predict power in MegaWatts from the other variables and
to look for trends over time.

This is a relatively straightforward multiple regression.

Authorization: contact authors Description: Data on 32 light water nuclear power
plants. Cox and Snell report more variables than are reproduced here and present
a thorough analysis. Number of cases: 32 Variable Names:

1.Cost: Cost in $100,000, adjusted to 1976 base
2.MWatts: Net capacity in Megawatts
3.Date: Date that construction permit was issued in years after 1900.
