Paul TranHoang received his PhD. from the Philosophy
Department in 2020. I cosupervised his thesis, "A modeltheoretic
approach to logicism," with Tim Bays. (I also cosupervised, with
Anand Pillay, his MSIM thesis on Galois cohomology.)

Ellen Lehet received her PhD. from the Philosophy Department in
2020. I supervised her thesis, "The explanatory value of
categorytheory."

Corey Dethier received his PhD. from the Philosophy Department
in 2020. I cosupervised his thesis, "Multiple models, robustness,
and the epistemology of climate science," with Anjan
Chakravartty.

Chris Porter received a PhD. from the joint mathematics
and philosophy program in 2012. I cosupervised his thesis,
"Mathematical and philosophical perspectives on algorithmic
randomness," with Michael Detlefsen and Peter Cholak.


Future

I am available to supervise doctoral work on a wide
range of projects in the history and philosophy of logic. I
am also available to supervise particular sorts of projects
on the philosophy of mathematics, on general and structural
proof theory, and on themes related to naturalism and
pragmatism.
