Bus Tour:

        9th Ward, briefing on flood wall, neighborhood

        Depart 9th Ward to Paris Road, view wetlands, cross Paris Road Bridge, view GIWW and MRGO

        Travel down I-10, view destruction caused by Katrina

        17th Street Outflow Canal

        Tour of Pump Station #6

University of New Orleans (UNO) - presentation by UNO Professor Denise Reed - "The Problem and the Solution to Land Loss - Beyond Conventional Wisdom and Broad Generalities"

Evening drive to Vicksburg, Mississippi

Afternoon drive back to New Orleans with visit to Old River Control, the US Army Corps of Engineers Control Structure that regulates the flow in the Atchafalaya and Mississippi Rivers, and the Sidney a. Murray Jr. Hydroelectric Station, the largest prefabricated power plant in the world
