About the conference

The annual Graduate Student Topology and Geometry Conference returns to Notre Dame on the weekend of April 6-7, 2013, for its eleventh edition, having developed a successful history of bringing together graduate students, young faculty and leading researchers in the area. Most of the space is dedicated to short talks (30 min) by graduate students in various levels (that can be expository or present original research), complemented by young faculty talks and keynote addresses by internationally recognized geometers and topologists. Although the conference has always been held in a university in the Midwest, it has taken on a national profile and now attracts participants from all over the United States and beyond.

When you make a reservation, please remember to mention you will be attending the GSTGC conference at Notre Dame, to take advantage of our negotiated rate. Also note that if you are applying for funding, we will only cover your lodging expenses if you stay in this hotel. Those reserving single rooms may not receive full reimbursement unless all double rooms have been filled.

Full capacity

Unfortunately, the conference is currently not accepting more registrations, since we have reached our full capacity. As of now, if we were to take more registrations, we would not be able to safely fit the number of participants in our auditoriums or provide coffee-break for everybody. In the near future, however, we might reopen registration with a waiting list, and depending on how many people confirm or withdraw their attendance we might be able to accept more registrations, so check back soon on this website! Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your interest.

The campus is located in the surroundings of the vibrant city of South Bend, Indiana. Regarding transportation, South Bend has a regional airport (SBN), as well as frequent trains to Chicago, IL. If you are flying to O'Hare or Midway, there are also airport buses direct to Notre Dame.
