Download the zip file example8.zip, unpack it, and run the example 8 script. The three files are the main script, a gui script which has a slider to display the original image and a variable number of the components, and the image itself (Hesburgh library and reflecting pool). Note that the original image is 1080x1920, so that means that there are over a thousand singular values. The images are essentially indistinguishable after 150 of these are used, however.
