Cheg 355 - Index Notation Lecture Notes
The notes on index notation are divided into three sets of pages. These may be accessed through
the links below. While I don't want to overemphasize index notation, it does provide a useful
way to handle vectors, tensors, and more complicated fluid mechanics problems.
Read through the material carefully, and we can discuss any problems you have with index
notation during class or during review sessions. I will provide
dual descriptions of the material we are covering in class using both index notation and
conventional vector notation.
