Junior Women's Sabre Team Finals

The lineup for the Gold Medal bout in the Junior Women's Sabre Team event. Fencing for the US were Amelia Gaillard, Sada Jacobson, Catherine Pack, and Mariel Zagunis. Italy was represented by Ilaria Bianco, Alessandra Lucchino, Rosanna Pagano, and Alessia Tognolli.

The third period began with Mariel Zagunis at a four touch disadvantage.

Catherine Pack substitutes for Amelia Gaillard with an eight touch deficit to the Italians. She begins the slow climb back for the US team.

Sada Jacobson of the US entered the final period with a four touch disadvantage.

The excitement built as Sada brought the match even with four straight touches in the final bout.

The Italians rallied, however, and defeated the US team 45-43.
