recognizes the far-reaching impacts of earthquakes on the community. As a result,
a wide range of majors may be interested in learning more about earthquake engineering
in a general sense. Thus,
EERI@UND
offers
a student membership geared specifically toward non-engineering majors who may
not be interested in pursuing a career in earthquake engineering but would still
like to learn more about the science of earthquake engineering and its impacts
upon the community.
While such student members would not enjoy the full benefits afforded to
Professional
Members, they
would receive:

to participate in
community
outreach programs

and workshops dedicated
to preparedness and mitigation of earthquake-related disasters

field
trips
to learn more about earthquake-resistant design.
